Mrs. Porfirio Diaz, Sr. nee Maria Evelia Lopez of Fredericksburg, Texas passed away in the St. Mary’s Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota on Saturday, July 10th, 2010 at the age of 45 years.

Evelia is survived by the following, her husband Porfie Diaz of Fredericksburg Children, Crystal & spouse, Martin Perez of Round Rock, Texas Porfirio Diaz, Jr. of Fredericksburg Vanessa Diaz of Fredericksburg Granchildren, Sarah Perez, Jordan Rhodes Her mother, Ernestina Gonzales of Fredericksburg Five brothers, one sister & spouses, Bertin & Lourdes Lopez of Austin Antonio & Sonia Lopez of Fredericksburg Bernado & Emilia Lopez of Fredericksburg Proceso Lopez, Jr.; Ranulfo & Esbeida Lopez and Marilu & Leopoldo Ibanez all of Austin Mario Mata of Fredericksburg, and Mariela Mata of Abilene

Vigil services will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:00 P. M. in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fredericksburg, with Deacon Francisco De La Torre officiating.

Mass of resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 14th, 2010 at 10:00 A. M. in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fredericksburg, with Monsignor Enda McKenna officiating.

Those who so desire may make memorial contributions in her memory to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, or to the charity of their choice.

The family will greet friends beginning Tuesday afternoon from 4 to 9:00 P. M. in the St. Mary’s Church and from 8:00 to 10:00 A.M. Wednesday morning also in Church.
